The Swim-A-Thon is a USA Swimming sponsored fundraising event to raise money for local swim teams as well as the national program. Each group will have a two hour time period to swim as many lengths as possible up to 200. 5% of the money collected will go back to USA Swimming to be used for programs that benefit swimmers nationwide. The remaining money will be used by Gwinnett Aquatics in the following ways:

  1. Capital campaign for a future facility. Gwinnett Aquatics has raised over $200,000 and will be announcing a future site in Fall 2015.
  2. Partially fund our financial assistance program that allows swimmers to participate regardless of cost. Last year Gwinnett Aquatics funded over $12,000 in assistance to its qualified athletes.
  3. Current needs. For 2015: Pool blankets, new pool heater.
  4. Help fund elite athletes' travel expenses.

Even though the Swim-A-Thon is not held until November, it is important to get pledges as early as possible. All swimmers are expected to participate regardless of whether or not they collect pledges. Participants can get pledges from businesses, neighbors, friends, and relatives

Donors may pledge per length completed or make a general donation. All donation are tax-deductible. There are two ways to pay:

On-line: Just click the button below and choose your payment method by either credit card or PayPal account.

In person: All checks should be made payable to Gwinnett Aquatics. Please write the swimmer’s name on the memo line of each check.
